Radio activation in memory of Gleno Dam disaster
Ham radio operators from ARI Bergamo and Vallecamonica sections commemorate the 101st anniversary of the Gleno Dam disaster, a tragic event that marked the history of our region.
Activation Schedule:
- Saturday, November 30, 2024:
- Setup of the operational headquarters at the Parish House in Nona (Vilminore di Scalve), which will remain open until Sunday afternoon.
- Antenna system preparation at the ruins of the Dam.
- Sunday, December 1, 2024:
- Activation of a multi-frequency radio station directly from the ruins of the Dam, with local and international QSOs.
This event is an opportunity to remember the past, combining a passion for radio communications with the historical memory of the area.
